Ready to go to space?
Take learning to new worlds with the Aldrin Family Foundation’s Giant Moon and Mars Maps™!
Our enormous, floor-sized Maps turn your classroom into a hands-on space exploration zone where students can walk across the lunar surface, plan missions to Mars, and think like real astronauts and engineers.
Through interactive lessons and STEM activities, K–8 students explore our Solar System while developing career-readiness skills that could one day take them beyond Earth.
Whether charting lunar landing sites, navigating Martian canyons, or designing their own space settlement, students experience the excitement of discovery and the power of imagination.
Engines ready, explorers! Your mission to the Moon and Mars starts here!

Our Giant Maps™
Giant Moon Map™
Step onto the surface of the Moon — no rocket required! The Aldrin Family Foundation’s Giant Moon Map™ is a massive, floor-sized map that turns learning into a lunar adventure. Students can walk across craters, trace the paths of Apollo astronauts, and explore the same terrain future explorers may visit one day.
Made from real lunar imagery, our Map brings the Moon to life beneath your feet. With engaging lessons and activities, students can measure distances between landing sites, plan lunar missions, and discover how science, math, and engineering all connect in space exploration.
It’s more than a map — it’s a launchpad for curiosity and big dreams.

Our Giant Moon Map™ includes many features that support students’ learning:
Unified geologic map of the surface of the Moon (near-side) and its poles
Color-coded key of geologic formations of the Moon
Relative size and distance of the Moon versus Earth (including perigee and apogee)
Upcoming NASA Artemis missions
An international timeline of lunar exploration
Graphic of LaGrange points between the Moon and Earth
Geologic time scale of the Moon and Earth
Key regions, surface features, and landing sites

Giant Mars Map™
Pack your imagination — Mars is calling! The Aldrin Family Foundation’s Giant Mars Map™ brings the Red Planet right to your classroom floor. Students can trek across ancient riverbeds, climb towering volcanoes, and explore deep canyons wider than the Grand Canyon — all without leaving Earth!
Created from real NASA imagery, this enormous, interactive map invites young explorers to plan rover routes, choose landing sites, and imagine what it takes to live and work on another world. Every step across the Martian surface sparks curiosity and connects science, geography, and engineering in exciting new ways.
It’s more than a map — it’s your students’ first mission to Mars!
